When choosing between Virgin Media, SKY TV and BT which of these large digital and cable TV providers has the best TVod (TV on demand)? Virgin Media, a company that never seems to do anything in a small way, offers a whopping 4600 hours of on demand TV and catch up show programming. This is perfect for workaholics like myself who need on demand in order to keep up with favourite shows and sports. In terms of sheer volume Virgin’s digital TV on demand is the best.
On demand innovator SKY TV has far less programming than Virgin but is available on many more formats. One can access SKY programming using an Xbox and even watch on your iPhone. Still, at any given time SKY has over 500 movies available on demand.
BT Vision’s on demand library consists of over 7000 movies and TV shows. This would seem an impossibly large catalogue yet BT makes it available. Almost everything available on SKY and Virgin combined can be seen on BT Vision channels.
However, as with SKY TV when using BT on demand you must often wait for scheduled start times in order to watch a programme. This is not total on demand TV. All of Virgin Media’s programming is available as true on demand ready whenever you are.
